Junior High STEM Olympics!

They competed in three rounds of challenges. The first challenge was to build a “boat,” using only certain materials, that would stay afloat and hold the most weight. Next came a trivia round that tested their general scientific knowledge. The third challenge was to build a the highest tower possible with only 100 index cards.

Our students performed admirably, using their knowledge and ingenuity. Scores from all three rounds were tallied, and our St. Barnabas teams claimed the third and eighth places out of 13 teams!  Congratulations to these young scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians!
