Before & After Care

St. Barnabas school understands the needs of working families and the value of childcare in a safe and caring environment. Our Before and After Care program is an additional school service which provides professional care, supervision, recreation, and enrichment activities for children enrolled in St. Barnabas School in full-day preschool through sixth grade. Morning Preschool students may use Before Care.

 

This supplementary childcare program is open before school from 6:30-7:45am and after school from 3-6pm each school day beginning with the first full day of school and ending with the last full day of school. After Care is available on full school days and 1:30pm dismissal days, which are usually one Wednesday per month for staff development. On 1:30pm dismissal days, After Care is available until 5:30pm. After Care is not available on days when students are dismissed before 1:30pm or on any days when there is no school.

 

After Care provides gym time for an hour after school (weather permitting children will be taken outside).  A snack is then provided followed by time for homework. Children who have finished their homework or do not do homework with the After Care staff, then have time for play or to exercise their skills in drawing, coloring or building with Legos. A large assortment of board games is also available as well as age-appropriate movies on Fridays.

 

The program is self-supporting and relies solely on timely payment of fees which are as follows:

Annual registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be used as a credit towards hours used. Please see the Parent/Student Handbook for additional details on the fee schedule.
