New This Year: Audition Workshop
Participants will explore audition techniques to help them prepare and build confidence for musical auditions. Students will learn songs, dances, and script work from Shrek and can use what they learn to prepare for their Shrek auditions. Participation in the Audition Workshop is encouraged but not required to be cast in the show. Students participating in the Audition Workshop should register for both the Workshop and the Show.
Audition Workshop Dates: Fridays, November 20, December 4, and December 11

Cast Auditions

Singing Auditions
- Tuesday, January 5, 2027, from 3:00–5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 6, 2027, from 3:00–5:00 p.m.
Callbacks, if necessary and by invitation:
- Thursday, January 7, 2027, from 3:00–6:00 p.m.
- Friday, January 8, 2027, from 3:00–5:00 p.m.
- After you check out, you will receive an email confirmation containing a link to register for an audition time slot.
- Everyone registered for the cast should select a 15-minute audition time slot.
- You will only need to attend auditions during your selected 15-minute window.
- There is a maximum number of students per time slot. If a time slot is full, please choose an open time slot. We cannot accommodate more than the allotted number of students during each time slot.
- If you have a conflict or another appointment during the available audition times, please let us know. We will work with you to find an alternative time for your child to sing.
How to Prepare for Your Audition
- Prepare 30–60 seconds of a song of your choice to sing by yourself, a cappella (without music). If you choose a song from Shrek, we will have the show tracks available for you to sing along with.
- We suggest choosing an upbeat song from Shrek or another Broadway show, but you may sing any song you like.
- If you are auditioning for a lead role or featured singing part, a song from Shrek is highly encouraged, but not required
- Practice, practice, practice, and have fun!
