American Sign Language Camp, with Ms. Patterson
Rising Grades 4 - 8
Monday, June 8 - Friday, June 12, 9am - 11am
Cost: $150
Students will be introduced to American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture in a fun, interactive, and supportive environment. Students will learn basic vocabulary, everyday phrases, and simple sentence structures to help them communicate effectively using ASL. Topics will include the alphabet, numbers, greetings, emotions, family, school vocabulary, and common expressions. Students will also learn about the importance of respect, inclusion, and accessibility within the Deaf community. This class is perfect for beginners and students interested in learning a new language while building communication skills and empathy. Register for American Sign Language.

Leadership Launch, with Mrs. McGowan

Leadership Launch is designed to help rising 6th - 8th grade students discover their voices and grow as confident, capable leaders. Campers will learn essential leadership skills such as communication, decision-making, goal-setting, and collaboration and will meet with at least one local leader in our community. By the end of the week, each student will create a personalized leadership action plan to put their new skills into practice throughout the upcoming school year. This camp will involve walking to local sites and is ideal for students who are ready to step up, stand out, and make a positive difference. Register for Leadership Launch.

Outdoor play and physical activity, including water activities. In the event of bad weather, we will have indoor physical activity and crafts.
