Service

WE ARE THE HANDS OF CHRIST - We believe service is fundamental to our beliefs and an essential lesson within our catholic school community. Supporting others, understanding and embracing differences, and recognizing that our kind words and actions can have a profoundly positive impact.  We engage our students in authentic service-learning experiences.  At St. Barnabas, service isn’t just one day but a way of life.

Special Olympics, Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry, Pat Mac's Pack & St. Baldrick’s, Get Behind the Vest, and Breast Cancer Awareness are just a few of the organizations we connect with throughout the year. Cards for local service members and supporting parish members in need are a natural part of our community.

SERVICE DAY - our annual all-school day of service is a remarkable and inspiring experience. On this day, over 600 students, staff, and parent volunteers will gather to help others.  It is the perfect way to live our Root Belief: We are the hands of Christ. This year, our Service Day was held on Friday, October 3. Listed below are the names and links to the organizations we served. Each one of these organizations strives to make our world a better place. Most support a large number of clients on an incredibly lean budget. If you're looking to expand your own service work, we encourage you to explore and use this list as a stepping stone to carry service into your family's thoughts and actions.
