Sacrament of Confirmation

8th GRADE CONFIRMATION IS FRIDAY, APRIL 17 at 7pm
Confirmation Seating: Google Form Response Due
If you have not yet done so, please be sure to complete the Confirmation Seating Google Form as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. 

Banners and Confirmation Information Sheets: Due April 1
Banners and information sheets are due by Wednesday, April 1st.  School students should bring these items to Mrs. McGowan.  RE students can drop them off at the parish office.  If your child was not baptized at St. Barnabas, please send a copy of the baptismal certificate with your candidate, or email me a copy.

Please note: the banners should have the student's selected saint name on the banner (first name only: i.e, Francis - not St. Francis of Assisi).  

Adult Volunteers Needed: Banner Construction on April 12
Banner construction will take place on Sunday, April 12, from 7 pm - 8 pm in the Church Hall.  We need four or five parent/guardian volunteers to help assemble the candidates' individual banners together into large ones that will hang behind the altar. Email Patrick McGowan if you'd like to help with the banner assembly.

Confirmation Rehearsal: Tuesday, April 14

All candidates should be present for Confirmation rehearsal on Tuesday, April 14, from 7pm - 8 pm in the church.  The candidate's sponsor should also attend if possible.  If the sponsor is not available, a parent/guardian may stand in.  Students with reading roles will be asked to stay until 8:30 pm that night to rehearse their parts.  

Confirmation Night: Friday, April 17
Please arrive by 6:25 pm.  Candidates should be in their chairs by 6:30 pm to meet with the bishop. 
The Liturgy will begin at 7pm, and is expected to last 1.5 - 2 hours.
