Tuition and Fees
AS A CATHOLIC SCHOOL, St. Barnabas is funded primarily by tuition. We recognize that a tuition-based Catholic education is a sacrifice for many families, but we are confident that a commitment to a St. Barnabas education offers significant benefits for your child and family.
Tuition is paid online through FACTS Tuition Management. The first payment for the 2026-2027 school year is due in July, and the final balance must be paid in full by April 30, 2027. Enrolling in a FACTS tuition payment plan allows you to select a payment option that best suits your financial needs. Families will receive an invitation from FACTS in May with information on setting up their payment plan.

ACTIVE PARISHIONER SUBSIDY - Catholic families who are registered and active parishioners of St. Barnabas Church are eligible for a $770 per K - 8 student tuition subsidy, as verified by the church. Active parishioners are practicing Catholics registered with St. Barnabas Church who have a demonstrated history of support for the parish (regular mass attendance and contributions of time, talent, and/or treasure). We encourage new parish families to register with the parish before submitting their school registration in order to be eligible for the following school year. INCIDENTAL EXPENSES - Additional fees for optional Extended Day and After School Enrichment are billed via FACTS Tuition.
FIELD TRIP & SERVICE EXPERIENCES - Field trips and Service Day initiatives are billed throughout the year (approximately $60 per student).
GRADE 8 GRADUATION - There is an additional $350 fee for each 8th-grade student. This fee covers numerous celebratory events and graduation elements.
JUNIOR HIGH iPAD PROGRAM - The cost of an iPad with AppleCare coverage (and optional Apple Pencil) will be added to the 6th-grade school-year tuition account. The estimated device fee for 2026 is $400-$500. The iPad is purchased and managed by St. Barnabas School. Due to safety monitoring and App restrictions, the devices are for academic use only and not for personal use outside the school curriculum. Upon graduation or departure from St. Barnabas School, families will own the device in full.
UNIFORMS & SCHOOL SUPPLIES - Families should budget for annual school uniform fees (approximately $200 per student) and school supplies (approximately $150 per student). These fees are paid directly by families and are not part of the tuition fee.
SPORTS & ACTIVITIES - There is an additional fee for each optional extracurricular team sport or musical theater activity (~$75-$200 per activity). Fees are payable online throughout the year when registering a student for the specific activity.
DONATIONS - Opportunities for charitable giving to organizations we support are presented to families throughout the year. The opportunities (periodic $3 dress-down donations, food drives, and fundraising contributions) are always optional and never required.
Financial Aid and Tuition Savings
FINANCIAL AID - Through the Parish Buckeye Scholarship, we offer a limited number of partial scholarships to active parishioners who demonstrate financial need and volunteer their time and talent to our community. St. Barnabas is not a Big Shoulders Fund school, and with the elimination of Empower Illinois, we have limited funds for additional scholarships at this time.
RAISE RIGHT - SCRIP TUITION SAVINGS - Raise Right (known as Scrip) is a gift card program. Families can purchase gift cards from approved vendors and earn credit toward their St. Barnabas tuition. Whether you are a family new to the school or have been at St. Barnabas for years but are not using Scrip - we encourage you to take a few minutes to learn about how the program may benefit your family.
