FAQ's for School Families
OUR SCHOOL WEBSITE contains a great level of detail. On the main page of our site, you'll find access to Calendars and Quick Links. Below, we have outlined quick references to some of the many details sprinkled throughout our site. We encourage all families to reference the site frequently, but, as always, call our Main Office at 773-445-7711 should you have any questions.
The detailed school calendars are linked on our Main Home page; there, we share three calendar views: School Events, Athletic Games, and After School Activities.
Our doors open each school day at 7:45am, and the tardy bell rings at 7:55am. Students dismiss at 3pm (2:50pm for Preschool). The complete procedures for utilizing the parking lot, street parking, and biking procedures are detailed on our site.
EXTENDED DAY (Before & After Care)
Before Care (6:30am - 7:45am) and After Care (3pm - 6pm) is available for an additional fee. Registration is required for all students who plan to use our before or after-school extended care program.

MEAL MANAGE
Optional hot lunch for students in Kindergarten - Grade 8 is prepared by Country House and managed online through Meal Manage. Hot lunch is not available for preschool students, but PK does have the option to pre-order a daily serving of milk. Lunch must be pre-ordered online by families through their MealManage online account; orders are due Thursdays at midnight for the week ahead.
Access to PowerSchool (attendance, schedules, and grades) and Google Classroom (classroom announcements including assigned classwork and homework) is available to all families.
VIRTUS FOR VOLUNTEERS
We ask all parents/guardians to play an active role in making St. Barnabas the best it can be by volunteering their time. All adult who spend time with children must complete their Virtus authorization.

Sports at St. Barnabas are managed by the Athletic Board in partnership with the school and parish. Details regarding the teams' seasons and eligibility, along with links for registration, game schedules, gym duty sign-up, health requirements, the Athletics handbook, and bylaws, can be found on the Athletics section.
