INFORMATION SUNDAY - Sunday, August 16, 10am
Information Sunday is the kickoff of the school year. Join us for the 10am mass, then visit the school from 11:30am - 1pm for all the 2026-2027 school year details. NEW PARENT NIGHT - Monday, August 17, 6pm
Parents and Guardians new to the school are invited to an evening event. You'll hear from members of our School Administration and Parent Auxiliary Board leaders about life at St. Barnabas and how to best support your child. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with other new families. This is an adult-only evening, and the meeting is expected to last around 90 minutes.
FIRST DAY - THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, shortened schedule
7:45am - 10:50am Kindergarten - Grade 8
7:45am - 9:00am Preschool Student + Parents (PK Orientation)
- WHAT TO WEAR & BRING: All students should wear their uniform and bring a water bottle.
- PARKING LOT CLOSED: The school parking lot is closed on the first day of school to allow for our school-wide gathering. Walking is strongly encouraged! If you must drive, please utilize the west side of Longwood Drive or the surrounding streets. Please DO NOT park on the school side of Longwood Drive.
- SCHEDULE: Gather in the parking lot at 7:45am. Teachers will be situated throughout the lot, holding a sign with their name. Students should gather with their homeroom teacher and classmates. Parents, students, and staff will share in prayer and hear brief remarks from our Administrators.
SECOND DAY - FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, shortened schedule
7:45am - 10:50am Preschool
All students should wear their uniform and bring a water bottle. Grades Kindergarten - Grade 8 bring lunch. PK - 2 bring snack.
FIRST FULL WEEK BEGINS - MONDAY, AUGUST 24
Regular schedule begins, 7:45am - 3pm (2:50pm for full-day PK).
All students should bring a daily water bottle and lunch (+ two snacks for PK and one snack for K - 2).
Extended Day Begins (6:30am - 7:45am and 3pm - 6pm)
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Please allow for ample time for travel as we settle into the school year routine. Complete details for walking, biking, and driving to school can be found on our website. If driving, please carefully review the procedures for accessing our parking lot and street parking. During arrival and dismissal, all cars must enter via Walden Parkway (east side of school). Driving procedures will be strictly enforced, and we require your cooperation.
- Morning Arrival 7:45am - The doors open at 7:45am for the morning arrival. Students arriving after 7:55am will be marked tardy.
- Afternoon Dismissal 3pm (PK - 2:50pm) - Students are dismissed by homeroom in a staggered exit from 2:55pm - 3pm. Occasional early dismissals are noted on the calendar (please note the first week's early dismissals). Any student still on campus at 3:05pm (2:55pm for Preschool), without parental or caregiver observation, will be sent to After Care.
SCHOOL LUNCHES
Hot Lunch Begins in September! All students should bring a daily lunch from home (and snack, if grade level required) from Friday, August 21 - Monday, August 31. Optional hot lunch service for Kindergarten - Grade 8 begins on Tuesday, September 1. The September Menu from Country House will be posted later this summer. Online orders through Meal Manage can be placed beginning on August 24.
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
All students (PK - 8) wear a daily school uniform beginning on the first day of school. The complete uniform guide can be found here.
In warm weather (75 degrees or warmer), students are permitted to wear gym uniform shorts and tshirt or navy-uniform style shorts with a collared shirt. Many students opt to wear gym shorts and tshirts each day, for the first few weeks of school. Students are permitted to wear St. Barnabas spirit wear tops every Friday paired with uniform bottoms.

EXTENDED DAY
Before and After Care begins on August 24. Families MUST pre-register for the Extended Day program to utilize this additional service. Registration for Extended Day will be shared later this summer. Registration is accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Learn more.
